Choose Your Acquisition Path: Buy Now or Make an Offer

DomainPortico provides two transparent purchasing mechanisms:

  • Buy Now (Dynadot Pay Link): When a domain has a configured checkout destination, clicking Buy Now takes you directly to Dynadot's secure checkout page to complete the transaction immediately.
  • Make an Offer: If you wish to propose a customized price or terms, submit an offer via our secure modal. We evaluate all inquiries with complete confidentiality.

Ownership Transfer & Technical Delivery

Upon confirmed payment settlement, domain transfer proceeds swiftly via your preferred method:

Option A: Dynadot Account Push

Fastest option. If you create or provide your free Dynadot Forum Name / Account ID, the domain is transferred internally in minutes.

Option B: Registrar Auth Code

We unlock the domain and provide the official EPP code so you can initiate transfer to your existing registrar (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.).

How does Dynadot checkout work?

When you click "Buy Now", you are directed to an official, pre-configured Dynadot Pay Link. Dynadot is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar that processes payment through secure channels and coordinates the automated transfer of the domain into your account.

Can I make an offer below the listed asking price?

Yes. Every active listing includes a "Make an Offer" form. You can propose a commercial acquisition figure and include your timeline or business context. The portfolio administrator evaluates all reasonable proposals within 24 business hours.

What is the difference between an Account Push and an Inter-Registrar Transfer?

An Account Push is an internal transfer between two accounts at the same registrar (Dynadot). It executes nearly instantaneously with zero downtime. An Inter-Registrar Transfer uses an EPP Authorization Code to transfer the domain to a different registrar of your choice (such as Cloudflare, GoDaddy, or Namecheap), typically taking 5 to 7 business days per standard ICANN protocols.

Are there any hidden fees or renewal surcharges?

No. The asking price is the one-time acquisition cost for the asset. Once ownership is transferred to your account, you will only be responsible for standard annual ICANN retail renewal fees directly to your chosen registrar (typically $10–$15/year for .com domains).

Why does DomainPortico not store credit cards?

For security and regulatory compliance, we never collect or store payment card numbers on our servers. By routing verified purchases through Dynadot, buyers receive the protections of an established, PCI-compliant ICANN registrar.

Can I transfer the domain to Cloudflare Registrar after purchasing?

Yes. Once the domain is transferred or pushed, you can request an EPP Authorization Code. Under ICANN rules, domains newly registered or transferred may be subject to a standard 60-day registrar transfer lock before moving between registrars, but you can immediately update nameservers to Cloudflare without any delay.
